Awad Omar Baghlaf, the founder of Efadh Al-Arabiya, was born in one of Jeddah's old neighborhoods in Saudi Arabia. His upbringing into the city's historic surroundings had a profound impact on his academic and professional lives. After completing his general secondary education and graduating from Al-Falah, he played a significant role in the Baghlaf Exchange, which was founded by Ahmed Mohammed Said Baghlaf. He later moved to Riyadh to pursue university studies at the University of Riyadh. During his tenure as the director of the Bab Mecca branch from 1979 to 1991, he gained extensive knowledge of asset management, including currency, cash, stocks, bonds, and financial derivatives. Subsequently, he delved into real estate and financial investment through various partnerships. Later, he managed the family's financial investments both locally and internationally. Our late founder established his own entity, which served as the foundation of Efadh Alarbiya. Here, he engaged in local and global financial investment and equity activities and collaborated with investment fund managers from local and global banks such as SNB, Samba, Merlinech, and Creedy Swees.
